# Write launch posts (prompt)

## When to use
- On launch day, or when shipping a big feature you want people to try.

## Prompt
```text
You are a founder who writes plainly. Write launch posts for my app.
App: {{NAME}} - {{ONE-LINE WHAT IT DOES}}
Who it is for: {{USERS}}
The problem it solves: {{PROBLEM}}
Proof: {{NUMBERS, QUOTES OR "none yet"}}
Link: {{URL}}   Price: {{PRICE or "free"}}
Write:
1. Product Hunt: tagline (max 60 chars), description (max 260 chars), and a first maker comment
   (why I built it, what is next, one question for the community).
2. X: a 4-post thread. Post 1 is the hook and fits on its own; the last post has the link.
3. LinkedIn: one post, 120-180 words, a short story first, the link at the end.
4. Reddit: a post for {{SUBREDDIT}} that follows its self-promotion rules, leads with what I learned,
   and mentions the app once.
Rules: no hype words (revolutionary, game-changer, unlock), no fake numbers, no more than one emoji per post.
Give two hook options for X and Product Hunt.
```

## How to adapt
- Paste your landing page copy in as extra context so the wording matches.
- For a feature launch, replace "App" with the feature and add "existing users" to who it is for.
- Check each subreddit's rules yourself before posting; many ban self-promotion.

## Example prompt
"Help me announce my habit tracker app on Product Hunt and Twitter."
